This is us, David and Lindsey, owners of Luxury Cornish Yurts on a recent motor bike trip through Vietnam.
How Luxury Cornish Yurts Began
Luxury Cornish Yurts is a small family run business. Our luxury yurts are located on the edge of Bodmin Moor in the heart of rural east Cornwall. We have lived here at Little Fursdon Farm with our family for twenty four years. In 2008 we decided to give up our ‘day jobs’ and start a luxury yurt camping business. We wanted to provide our guests with something unique, with a touch of real luxury to it! We think we have achieved that with Luxury Cornish Yurts. Each of our luxury yurts has its own private shower room for your exclusive use during your stay. You also have your own fully equipped kitchen too, both situated in the large amenity barn close to the yurts.
Where We Got The Idea
Our idea for starting a luxury yurt camp originally came from a visit to a game park in Tanzania. We stayed in a ‘tent’, however, it was quite different from any camping experience that we had previously had. It a touch of real luxury in the wilds of Tanzania and it was a memorable week. When we decided to open our own business, it was from this experience that we drew our inspiration for our luxury yurt camp.
We hope that our guests will also have a memorable, hassle free stay with us. We have tried to think of all the things that you might need during your stay. So we provide everything you need-rechargeable lanterns, beach towels, even hot water bottles when its on the cold side. So all you need to do is turn up with your bags and relax in the heart of Cornwall in one of our amazing luxury yurts.
